English Language

The overall Core Skill to be developed is for pupils to be able to communicate in the two official languages (English and French) and be able to use at least one National Language.
Emphasis is laid on the four Language Skills (Components) which are: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.

Mathematics

Pupils are taught to be able to use basic notions in Mathematics and Sciences.

Mathematics is taught through the component areas of:

• Geometry and Space
• Statistics and Graphs

Science and Technology

Pupils are enabled to be able to demonstrate the spirit of autonomy, a sense of initiative, creativity and innovation. Sub discipline areas include:

• Technology and Engineering

Francais

L'Enseignement de Français doit amener l'enfant à communiquer dans Les deux langues Officiels et pratiquer au moins une langue nationale. French is taught through the subdisciplines of:

• Comprehension et Expression Orale
• Production d'Ecrits
• Grammaire, Conjugaison et Vocabularie.

Social Studies

This discipline is intended to enable pupils practice Social and Citizenship Values (morality, good governance and Budgetary, transparency) Thus the subdisciplines for this transmission include the teaching of:

• History
• Geography
• Citizenship

Vocational Studies

The teaching of Vocational Studies is through practical subjects which provides learners with the opportunity to develop talents, initiative and creativity thereby enhancing their holistic development. It develops learner's autonomy, self-esteem and the spirit of entrepreneurship for subsequent self reliance towards a responsible and balanced life without any constraints on their ambitioons for further education.

Vocational Studies is taught in school through:

• Arts and Crafts
• Agro Pastoral Farming
• Home Economics

Arts

Through the teaching of Arts we enable pupils to:

• Create Objects
• Draw imaginative and creative images expressing feelings band emotions
• Use voice and dance to convey feelings and emotions

Arts is taught through subdisciplines like:

• Visual Arts ( Drawing)
• Performing Arts ( Singing and dancing).

Physical Education and Sports

Our teaching of this discipline enables pupils to:

• Discover the body.
• Practice social and interpersonal communication skills.
• Stimulate physical, intellectual and emotional growth.
• maintain a healthy body.

Physical Education is taught through subdisciplines like Movements, Jumps, Team sports, Gymnastics, Throws, Relays, Sprints.

National Languages and Cultures Studies

Our teaching of this discipline is in line with recent developments that learning should start with the mother tongue. Great advantage is in that each child should in addition to the ability to speak both French and English, be able to speak the mother tongue.

Information and Communication Technology

We teach our pupils to be able to:

• Use computer equipment and ICT Tools
• Perform basic word processing
• Produce basic spreadsheets
• Apply basic health and safety measures when using computers and other ICT devices.
• Use ICTs responsibly
